Week 9 Space + Art

Space has been something that I have been very interested in since I was a child, I remember going to museums and reading books about the amazing race to the moon. Art and science are so closely related when you go beneath the surface. Like on campus the two are on polar opposites of campus and yet they are still connected. The accomplishments of NASA and even the individuals that made such amazing journeys happen like Armstrong help paved the way to technological advancements that would propel not only the technological race but also art.
One of my favorite movies is Contact with Jodie Foster and is just one of the many examples that correlate space and art. The openness and vast beauty of space is something that we can only hope to fully experience, the ability for humans to experience all of space is most likely impossible but the ways in which we journey through the vast unexplored space is something in itself. With the various planets and systems, to the smallest part of the materials in space made up of atoms and molecules, these various pieces come together to create something that we could not imagine ourselves. To explore these beautiful things humans have worked together to push the boundaries of what we will be able to experience with opportunities that companies like NASA and SpaceX
have helped provide to the whole world. The race to break through our own atmosphere and travel to the moon was something in itself and was a race that showed the accomplishments of amazing minds made up of artists and scientists utilizing the tools that art and science can provide for space exploration to be made possible.
